Bumi Hills is an intimate luxurious safari lodge, taking a maximum of 25 guests. The lodge is located across Lake Kariba in a range of remote hills, adjacent to the world renowned Matusadona National Park. Access to the lodge is either via a boat transfer across the lake, or else a short air charter transfer to the Bumi Hills airstrip.
The lodge has been cleverly built into the top of the hillside. The main entertainment area boasts an infinity swimming pool, with probably one of the most magnificent views across the lake that any infinity pool could have. The dining deck is also a huge hit with all guests, and is beautifully and intimately laid out, with the same stunning view of the lake.
Bumi Hills is solar powered, with full charging facilities available in the suites. There is a small library available for guests who would like to take it easy and not participate in any of the wonderful activities the lodge has to offer. For those wanting a real treat there is a fabulous spa offering treatments upon request and at an additional charge. The lodge offers 24-hour reception services and has a complimentary Wi-Fi zone in the lounge.
There are 10 Lake View suites and One Baobab Villa which is ideal for families.
All the suites are en-suite, non-smoking, with their own private patio, a mini-bar, a digital safe, international multi-sockets/charging points, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a hair-dryer, a mosquito net, guest amenities and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities.
The Baobab Villa, is a 2-bedroomed private villa, which comes complete with a private lounge area and indoor and outdoor dining decks which is ideal for families. Offering a personalised experience, the villa comes with the services of a private butler, safari guide and a dedicated safari vehicle.
The suites are serviced daily, with same day laundry service available. Guests have free access to a gym which includes treadmill, stationary bike, rowing machine, free weights and yoga mats.
Bumi has also added 2 very unique experiences for guests whereby you can combine the land accommodation at Bumi Hills with a trip on a houseboat for either a lunch cruise (minimum 2 night booking) or an overnight “sleep out” experience (minimum of 3 night booking). The Lady Jacqueline Houseboat can be booked in advance for a minimum of 2 adults and a maximum of 4 adults + 4 children over 12 years of age (please note there is an age restriction of 12 years old).
