Horse Back Safari

Brief description

Novice or experienced you will be split into different groups. It’s a truly exhilarating experience to ride through the African bush. Quiet and peaceful, you feel at one with nature. In a vehicle, you are remote from the excitement around you; on horseback your senses come alive.

Times

Daily –06h00 or 15h00 (may change slightly depending on the season).

Duration

Approximately 2.5 – 3 hours

Additional Info

Children are accepted, but they must be strong and competent riders. Please check in advance, as there are age limits for some camps. There is no adjustment in price for children. There is a minimum of two on longer rides and a maximum of six clients at any one time. Larger groups may be split into two groups of 4 if possible. Maximum weight limit is 90kg (14 1/2 Stones or 200lbs). To avoid embarrassment be warned that you may be required to step on the scales. Allowances may be made, only for very experienced riders, and even then at our discretion. There will be a surcharge.

Includes: Includes transfers from most hotels/accommodation.

Excludes: National parks fees per person.

What to bring

National Parks Fees, activity voucher/ticket from your agent, camera and/or binoculars (recommended), sunglasses, hat, insect/mosquito repellent, any medication that you might need.  Riding clothes should be of a neutral colour, khaki or bush colours, no bright colours like red orange and bright blue, and no white (warm clothing in winter).
