GENERAL INFO

Moonraker is a lovely small Monohull houseboat, which is great for smaller and more intimate groups.  It comprises of 3 decks being the Top, Middle and Bottom deck.  

The bottom deck is where the 3 cabins are situated. There are 2 double cabins which sleep 2 guests in each room in a double bed and there is a twin cabin sleeping 2 guests in twin beds. All cabins are en-suite and are fully air conditioned.

The middle deck contains the wheelhouse, the fully equipped kitchen and a lounging area.  The kitchen has a water filtration system which provides guests with an endless supply of fresh drinking water. The boat has 1 kitchen-fridge, 2 chest freezers, an ice maker, a drinks cooler and drinks cabinets on both top and middle decks, which allows for chilled refreshments any time of the day.  The lounge has sliding windows and also has an air-conditioner. Moonraker is also fully carpeted providing guests with the utmost comfort wherever they go.

The top deck has a Jacuzzi pool, providing a 360-degree view of the lake at all times, and a dining room table which seats 6 people. There are 2-fold out beds, allowing guests to wake up to the stunning sounds of nature. The top deck also has a lovely coffee station and seating area facing the front of the boat to allow you to drink your coffee with some of the best seats on the boat.  Moonraker also has a “Weber” braai for the guests’ use, but remember to then please bring your own briquettes and fire-lighters.

The crew have their own cabin and ablutions.

Tender Boats

One x pontoon tender with a 25hp Suzuki engine and one x speedboat with a 115hp Yamaha engine.

POWER SUPPLY

Moonraker is fully solarised, and has a generator for back up (no hairdryers allowed). Please note that Moonraker is able to run the cabin aircons all night.

Toiletries

All bedding, linen and cleaning products ARE supplied, as well as gas, life-jackets, landing nets, keep nets and cooler boxes for use on the tender boats.

Cold Space

Adequate cold space with freezers and fridges. Also, an ice machine, so you will not run out of drinking ice. PLEASE ONLY USE THE ICE MAKING MACHINE FOR DRINKING ICE, AND NOT FOR TENDER BOAT COOLER BOXES.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Please note guests need to bring their own:

  • Swimming Towels;
  • First Aid Kits;
  • Personal toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush etc.;
  • Ice to keep drinks cold in the cooler boxes – we recommend 3-4 blocks of ice per day in the winter months and 5-6 blocks of ice per day in the summer months;
  • Adaptors for charging cell phones, cameras etc. Plug points are square.;
  • briquettes and fire-lighters;
  • Fishing rods, reels, tackle and worms.

Fuel

Fuel is NOT included in the charter price.  Main boat, tender boats and generator will be full on arrival and Clients are to check this with the Captain prior to departure.  The Company will not be held responsible for any discrepancies.  On completion of the Charter, the main boat, tender boats and generator will refuel at Marineland and then disembark at Andora Harbour.  Payment for refuelling must be paid by the Client direct to Marineland.

**PLEASE NOTE: It is important for the clients to be advised that there are NO VISA CARD SWIPE FACILITIES at any of the fuel stations in Kariba. Clients must bring USD cash with them.
