Affordable, Comfortable and Scenic
The Charara Site belongs to the National Anglers Union of Zimbabwe. Charara really does cater to fishermen and provides this amazing facility at very reasonable rates for members.
NAUZ Charara offers 4 self-catering lodges that each sleep 6 people. Each lodge is slightly different to the other, with 1 that has been altered to suit a wheelchair. The lodges are situated on the banks of the Charara River, which affords them all stunning views.
As well as the self-catering lodges, there are also 4 cabins that sleep 2 people. These are very basic and offer only bedding and a kettle (no fridge or stoves like the self-catering lodges). These are ideal for couples traveling cross country, who either don’t have time to set up their tent, or just want a change and a chance to sleep in a proper bedroom with 4 walls for the night, as opposed to a tent. The cabins are situated ideally next to the swimming pool.
There are 20 lovely shaded camping sites (max of 4 people per site) with power and water points and clean ablutions. The camping area is in a very quiet setting and has a playground for children and big areas to run around in. There is a swimming pool on site.
