Solar powered with 16 KVA solar and a 20 KVA back-up generator. Hot water is provided by solar geysers, fitted with elements as a back up.
Hakuna Mutata is a gorgeous, newly refurbished houseboat, ideal for those wanting luxury when out on the water. The Lower Deck contains 4 air conditioned en-suite cabins, with a shower, basin and toilet in each. All the cabins can be made up in either a double or twin bed format. There is a walkway on either side of the boat, providing access to the cabins through sliding doors. All cabins have 13 Amp (square pin) socket outlets for charging, as well as a lockable safe for valuables. Also located on the lower deck is a spacious kitchen and the crew cabin.
The Middle Deck is accessible via a stairway in the centre of the boat, as well as from the front of the boat, and this is where the main entertainment area is located. There are an additional 2 en-suite cabins on this deck, each with its own private balcony. The middle deck is all enclosed, meaning it is ideal for evening meals with no bugs getting in. There is also a 55 inch smart TV, an Espresso machine/ coffee station, and even a Pizza Oven! A jacuzzi and sun loungers are located on this deck too.
Hakuna’s upper deck is where the Captain’s wheelhouse is located, and there is also a small seating area for those wanting a bird’s eye view of the lake.
There are two tender boats, 1 pontoon type and 1 speedboat, with outboard engines, to cater for your fishing, game viewing and sunset cruises.
Hakuna Mutata has water purification through reverse osmosis. The boat has additional child friendly facilities being: COT beds, High Chairs, and Baby bath. Catering, ice, rod hire, tackle purchase and bait can be organised at an extra cost. All fuels used is for the client’s account and has to be settled on completion of the cruise. There is a charcoal braai for guests convenience – please bring your own charcoal.
COLD SPACE
There boat is fitted with 300 litres under counter bar fridge, 26 kg Snow master ice maker, 840 litres under counter kitchen fridge and 3 x chest freezers.
BREAKAGES
All breakages of property on Hakuna Mutata will be for the account of the person hiring the houseboat. Breakages are to be paid for BEFORE disembarking the boat.
There is an industrial stainless steel fully equipped kitchen with fagor gas oven and 2 hob gas stove.
