Solar powered with a 12 KVA generator as back up. Hot water is provided by solar and gas geysers.
Unique is a beautiful boat nicely finished in Teak. The Lower Deck contains 4 air conditioned en-suite cabins, with a shower, basin and toilet in each. All the cabins can be made up in either a double or twin bed format. The aircon can run all night off the solar. The cabins look out on to the lake with drop down blinds, French doors, mosquito nets and a fan which can run all night. There is a walkway on either side of the boat, providing access to the cabins through sliding doors. All cabins have 13 Amp (square pin) socket outlets for charging. Also located on the lower deck is a spacious kitchen and the crew cabin.
The Upper Deck is accessible via a stairway in the center of the boat, and this is where the main entertainment area is located. There are 4 benches that open out to provide additional beds for those wanting to sleep upstairs (mosquito nets provided.) Dining is done at either the bar or an 8 seater dining room table. The Upper Deck can be all enclosed in canvas awnings, that seal against the weather and also open up to allow fresh air and sunshine in, with 4 fans having recently been added to ensure more airflow. A Jacuzzi and sun loungers are located at the back of the Upper Deck for those wanting to soak up the sunshine.
The boat is accessed at the front by a retractable walkway onto a landing area and then onto the side walkways to the cabins and kitchen. The is a charcoal braai for guests convenience – please bring your own charcoal.
There are two tender boats with outboard engines to cater for your fishing, game viewing and sunset cruises (one pontoon and one speedboat.)
Catering, ice, rod hire, tackle purchase and bait can be organised at an extra cost. All fuels used is for the client’s account and has to be settled on completion of the cruise.
Cold Space
There is a large fridge freezer, as well as a chest freezer in the kitchen area for meat, ice and any fish caught. There is an upright fridge for perishables. Upstairs in the entertainment area is another chest freezer for drinks and water. Clients are required to provide their own ice for freezers and cooler boxes.
 BREAKAGES
All breakages of property on Unique will be for the account of the person hiring the houseboat. Breakages are to be paid for BEFORE disembarking the boat.
