Little Mana Sands is the “baby sister” of Mana Sands Main Camp and is located on the same private concession in Mana Pools National Park, in a remote location on the flood-plain of the mighty Zambezi River. This ideal prime location offers those wanting privacy the perfect place to relax, while enjoying the stunning wildlife Mana Pools has to offer.
Little Mana Sands is also easiest accessed via private air charter to Mana West Airstrip, which is only 1 hour 30 minutes from the capital city of Harare, or 2 hours and 30 minutes from Victoria Falls, with a 10 minute game viewing transfer to camp (from Mana West). Guests are also able to self-drive into camp, either from Harare, (which currently takes around 6-7 hours), or from Lusaka (around 5-6 hours). Please note a high clearance 4×4 vehicles is required for the dirt roads. Finally, if guests prefer, they can also access camp via a boat transfer down the Zambezi River from Chirundu.
Little Mana Sands is a more rustic camp and was also built with lots of clever thought and design going in to the location on the concession. This camp is set more in amongst the trees and vegetation, so you feel more like you are “in” the bush than you possibly do at Main Camp.
The camp is run on solar power, with a backup generator for emergencies. Little Mana has a smaller, more intimate entertainment area, including a bar, seating area, fire-pit and dining area on the deck. There is limited cell phone signal around the lodge, but there is free Wi-Fi available in room upon request (Networks hidden and QR code provided on request).
6 Tents
Little Mana Sands comprises 6 zipper entry style tents in total. Each tent has the following amenities:
- Private deck & seating area;
- Tea & Coffee Tray available upon request;
- Mosquito net & repellent;
- Emergency Horn;
- Safe;
- Indoor shower;
- His & Hers basins;
- Separate toilet;
- Complimentary toiletries;
- Dressing room area with lots of cupboard & hanging space;
- Charging facilities.
Little Mana Sands is sold on an all-inclusive basis, which means your payment covers your accommodation, meals, beverages, laundry services (weather permitting), and activities. Excluded are your transfers (except by game vehicle from the Mana West airstrip), travel insurance, visa fees, flights, items of a personal nature and staff gratuities.
The activities on offer at LITTLE Mana Sands are:
- Morning or afternoon game drives;
- Walking safaris (guides are armed when walking);
- Bird watching;
- Canoeing;
- Catch and release fishing (both from the shore & from a boat);
- Boating / boat safaris on the Zambezi;

**Please note that Little Mana Sands Main Camp is closed from 08 January – 30th March due to heavy rainfalls and the migration of animals.
