Mana Sands Main Camp is the brainchild of 3 bush loving couples, who thoroughly enjoy the Zimbabwean bush, and wanted to be able to revel in it with their young families, but also be able to share it other adventure and nature lovers from around the world. The camp is located on a private concession in Mana Pools National Park, in a remote location on the flood-plain of the mighty Zambezi River. This ideal prime location offers those wanting privacy the perfect place to relax, while enjoying the stunning wildlife Mana Pools has to offer.
Mana Sands is easiest accessed via private air charter to Mana West Airstrip, which is only 1 hour 30 minutes from the capital city of Harare, or 2 hours and 30 minutes from Victoria Falls, with a 10 minute game viewing transfer to camp (from Mana West). Guests are also able to self-drive into camp, either from Harare, (which currently takes around 6 -7 hours), or from Lusaka (around 5 – 6 hours). Please note a high clearance 4×4 vehicle is required for the dirt roads. Finally, if guests prefer, they can also access camp via a boat transfer down the Zambezi River from Chirundu.
Mana Sands Main Camp is an eco-conscious camp that was designed to blend in with the landscape, but also with lots of room for privacy for each guest, ensuring you don’t feel cramped. The camp is run on solar power, with a backup generator for emergencies. Mana Sands has a large entertainment area located on 2 levels, including a bar, various seating areas, fire-pit and deck with an infinity swimming pool, complete with sun loungers. For those travelling with private guides, there are guide tents available. There is limited cell phone signal around the lodge, but there is free Wi-Fi available in room upon request (Networks hidden and QR code provided on request).

Mana Sands Main Camp comprises 6 luxury tents in total. Each tent has the following amenities:

Mana Sands Main Camp is sold on an all-inclusive basis, which means your payment covers your accommodation, meals, beverages, laundry services (weather permitting), and activities. Excluded are your transfers (except by game vehicle from the Mana West airstrip), travel insurance, visa fees, flights, items of a personal nature and staff gratuities.
The activities on offer at Mana Sands are:
- Morning or afternoon game drives;
- Walking safaris (guides are armed when walking);
- Bird watching;
- Canoeing;
- Catch and release fishing (both from the shore & from a boat);
- Boating / boat safaris on the Zambezi.
