Batonka Guest Lodge, is situated in the suburbs of Victoria Falls town, just over 2 kilometers walk from the majestic falls themselves. The lodge has wonderfully tended grounds that are best enjoyed from the gorgeous verandah running the length of the main building, where most guests choose to take their meals.
For those wanting something a little more intimate, there is also indoor dining available with the restaurant serving home-style cooked dishes that put emphasis on high-quality meals.
There is a beautiful swimming pool located just off the central entertainment area, with sun loungers and staff available to ensure you are able to enjoy this setting to the maximum. There is a separate pool located in the Flame lily wing, which is also set in a drop-down garden. An activities desk and gift shop are located near reception for guests’ convenience. Reception is open from 6a.m to 10p.m daily.
There are 27 rooms in total, which consist of:
- 16 x Pool View double/twin rooms
- 11 x Garden View double/twin rooms
All the rooms have en-suite bathroom with double basins and a large shower. The beds can be configured on request to either double or twin. An extra bed can be in place for children under 12 years. Cots are also available.
All the rooms have:
- Ceiling to floor mosquito nets that fall away from our king size beds;
- 43” flat screen TV with ten satellite channels;
- Fans and air conditioning units;
- Mini bar fridge with complimentary water;
- Tea and coffee facilities;
- Hairdryers;
- Digital safes;
- Plug sockets that cater for most foreign plugs, including USB ports in the wall;
- Laundry service;
- Nightly turn down service; and
- Wi-Fi.
The Garden View rooms have eight rooms which are inter-leading and are ideal for families or groups travelling together. One of these rooms has an annex which has been set up as a child’s room. It has two single beds with an adjoining bath and toilet and is decorated in child friendly prints and style. It is one of the inter-leading rooms so with the annex, main room, and the inter-leading it comfortable fits a family of six. The rooms are serviced daily, with same day laundry service available (for guest’s account).
