Gordon’s B&B is ideally situated in the ‘Avenues’ of Mutare, within walking distance of the Hillside Golf Club, and close to the CBD and local restaurants. This B&B is very popular with guests going to Mutare on business or as a stop-over for those needing a break when travelling to or from Mozambique.
A delicious full English breakfast is served on the lovely open sided verandah, overlooking the gardens. For those wanting to take a load off, there is a small but comfortable lounge area located just off the verandah. A unique feature of Gordon’s is the outdoor entertainment lounge in the garden, where you can enjoy the birdlife and fresh air in comfort. You can literally stop and smell the roses while relaxing here!
There are 8 bedrooms in total, which are all named after the late owner’s family members – creating an intimate and homely feel. There are 6 x double rooms, and 2 x twin rooms. All are en-suite with toilet, basin and shower with complimentary toiletries supplied. The rooms are tastefully and individually furnished and all have fans, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi plus tea and coffee facilities.
As an added personal touch, you are able to buy an assortment of home-made pickles, jams and condiments to take home for your loved ones as a memento of your trip (our favourite was the chilli sauce). Gordon’s management and staff are efficient and go out of their way to ensure your stay with them goes as smoothly as possible.
