Miombo Mountain Lodge

Miombo Mountain Lodge is a brand new luxury lodge located only a half hours drive from Harare in Christon Bank, on the Mazowe Road. The lodge has been cleverly built in amongst the natural Miombo Woodlands, providing a nice, cool and relaxing environment in which to unwind and refresh. The bird life is fantastic, and there is also unique flora and fauna around the lodge’s grounds and surrounding area.

The lodge’s central entertainment area is situated facing the Mazowe Valley, offering the most magnificent views across the valley. There are a variety of spaces where you can relax and enjoy the view, from the bar or dining area, to the comfortable seating area adjacent to this. The bar offers cold refreshments, as well as tea and coffee, throughout the day. But the most popular location at the lodge is a hard one to choose, either the gorgeous outside pool or the private spa, which offers not only manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages, but also has a custom built couple’s massage room too!

There are 3 different types of rooms on offer as listed below:

7 x Luxury Cabins
These A-frame style cabins are located to the left of the main entertainment area, with 3 cabins overlooking the Mazowe Valley, while the other 4 cabins have a view of the woodlands at the back, with impala and zebra regularly seen here.

2 x Suites
The suites are located off of the main entertainment area, and as well as being larger than the cabins, they have a better view of the valley and woodlands below.

1 x Honeymoon Suite
The honeymoon suite is also located off the main entertainment area, and offers the best view as it has windows on 2 sides of the room, which ensures guests have the wow factor view.

All the rooms have the following amenities:

  • Non-smoking rooms King, Queen or Twin Beds
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Plug points
  • Private room safe
  • Superior bathrooms with a customized collection of toiletries
  • Linen and towels provided
  • Room serviced daily

Miombo Mountain lodge also has 2 conference facilities for companies wanting a unique location, not far from Harare. There is full cell phone signal at the lodge, as well as free Wi-Fi. Electricity is provided off the main ZESA grid, as well as with solar, and hot water is generated by gas geysers. The water at the lodge is from a borehole and therefore safe to drink.

The Lodge is open to the public for meals which are served in the dining area overlooking the valley, with a continental (buffet) and full English breakfast served from 07:00 until 09:00 in the morning. During the week an A La Carte menu is served from 12:30 until 15:00, with a set menu on the weekends. Dinner is always a set menu, served from 18:30 until 20:30.

There are a variety of activities to do, either on the lodge grounds or in the area near by.
