Kingfisher Lodge is a lovely, 4 bedroomed self-catering house, located at Wild Heritage. All 4 bedrooms have aircon and new, very comfortable, twin beds. The first 2 rooms are located upstairs and have a gorgeous shared balcony with a wicker lounge suit. These 2 bedrooms share the up-stairs bathroom, which has both a bath and a shower.
The third and fourth bedrooms are located on the ground level and share the bathroom on that level. This bathroom has only a shower and no bath. The fourth room has to be accessed from an outside door and is therefore perfect for the couple wanting more privacy (or your rowdy friends!)
Kingfisher Lodge is situated on the sunset side of the peninsular, offering stunning views of Lake Kariba and the sunsets. As well as the upstairs lounge area on the deck, there is also a downstairs lounge area inside the house and a beautiful dining area set up on the veranda overlooking the lake.
As there are no fences allowed at Wild Heritage, it is common to be eating a meal, while watching the resident elephants and hippos walking past. Classified as self-catering, Kingfisher Lodge is fully equipped with everything you will need. The caretaker is a gentleman who is always very willing to help in any way he can. As well as being right next to the community pool, Kingfisher also now has its own private pool. The community pool area is the only place at Wild Heritage where guests are allowed an open fire braai and is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon.
Kingfisher Lodge is one of the most comfortable houses at Wild Heritage and definitely a favourite with all who visit, and I guarantee once you’ve spent one holiday here, you will soon be booking your next trip back.
