Chobe 2 day & 1 night Trip

Brief description

Your trip starts with a transfer to Botswana and then a game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Lunch will be served after the 3-hour cruise at a local hotel at around 12h30. Then it is time to head into the Chobe National Park for a game drive following the Chobe River, which lasts until about sundown. You will be taken to camp within the park for drinks and dinner under the stars. On your second day, you will be woken up early for a morning game drive – the best time for game viewing, and before the park gets busy. Return to camp for brunch and refreshment. In the afternoon you will be driven out of the park to Kasane if you are staying at a hotel there, or back to your hotel in Zimbabwe.

Daily: Pick Up: 7:00/7:30.
Drop Off: 16:30 (Kasane) or 17:30 (Vic Falls/Livingstone).

Additional Info

Minimum age restriction of 12 years old UNLESS guests book and pay for a private site which is a minimum of 6 people. You will need to ensure that you have the proper visas for entry and exit. The government of Botswana in 2016 issued regulations regarding the travel of children under the age of 18 through the ports of entry:

1. In addition to having a valid passport with valid visa (if applicable), children under the age of 18 are required to present a certified copy of their unabridged birth certificate, which is one the shows the particulars of a minor and those of the parents.

2. If the child is travelling with only one of his/her parents, they must have an affidavit from the other parent allowing the travel of the child in their absence. However, in the instance that one of the child’s parents is not named on the birth certificate, an affidavit is not required.

Costs

US$ 330 per person.

Includes: Park fees, meals, 1 boat cruise and 2 game drives.

Excludes: Parks Fees (US$ 25pp, Transfers (US$ 25 one way / US$ 50 return from Victoria Falls or Livingstone town – Transfers from Livingstone exclude $10 return bridge levy.)

What to bring

PASSPORT, activity voucher/ticket from your agent, camera, binoculars (recommended), comfortable clothing in neutral colours will be most suitable. Thin, long sleeved shirts may be necessary when you go out into the sun. During the winter months of June, July and August, you will need to wear layers as it gets very cold in the night and early mornings. In the wet months of November to January, you may want to bring along a raincoat. Khakis or jeans and fleece sweater for the evenings and early morning game drives. Shoes ideal for sandy bush. Towel, toiletries and any medication that you might need (please remember that there are no shops in the bush for emergencies). Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and insect/mosquito repellent.
